Place a still object on the Motion Picture Maker's movable baseboard, pick up the hand control and turn on the camera to begin changing the look on your video presentations forever. Now you can add motion and dimension to those still shots that once disrupted the flowing action of past productions.

Complete Motion Control Copystand System for Video applications. In addition to panning, scrolling, and basic diagonal movement, Joystick permits complex movements as well.

The Motion Picture Maker II with Joystick Control includes movable stage and detachable control panel. Control consists of two seperate switches for panning (x-axis) and scrolling (y-axis) each with a seperate speed selector.

Built in Joystick allows for complex axis movements including arcs up to 360 degrees.

Shoulder straps, I like using shoulder straps on all my tripods and stands for fast and easy transport. Attached with cable ties. Tripod bags offer better protection but are bulkier and slower to use and also invite thefts in back of car more so than just tripods IMO. Tuffpac cases w/ wheels for air travel.

I use a Zing Designs STB1 Extra Large Stuff Pouch to cover my tripod head when not in use for extra protection and attach to ring on tripod, it also serves as a nice pocket while shooting.

 

MONOPODs

Uni-lock 3 section monopod is hands down the best monopod. I love this monopod. $118

Because the tip unlike Bogens' rubber tip doesn’t not squeak and stick when panning on hard marble floors. The locking knobs are faster and easier to lock and unlock, the knobs can be turned to right or left side allowing you to use either right or left hand to lock and it’s very lightweight.  I alsouse the Bogan 234RC tilt head on it.

Duo-pod foot pad is a cool accessory for your Uni-loc monopod.

 

PLATFORMS

SpiderPod or SCP Scorpion Support System. $1200+

A cheaper lightweight alternative is to use a large portable Da-Lite 425-Deluxe Project-O-Stand (17 x 25" Shelf) 42067 projector stand for tripod (tape legs to the table) and a 3 step ladder w/ platform to stand on.

 

MICROPHONES & AUDIO

BEST Wireless is the Lectrosonic lavaliere microphone and handheld plug microphones, 100 or 400 series. $1200 +

This is the 2nd best wireless microphone: Sennheiser G2 100, $500, it is plastic and not the build of Lectrosonics plus the lav wire too long but a cheaper mic that still records great sound.

Electro Voice RE50N/D-B Omni Handheld Dynamic $180, best hand held for interviews

Shure SM58-LC - Cardioid Handheld Dynamic Microphone $100

Audio Technica AT897 Shotgun Microphone $270 best bang for the buck for short on camera mic.

Edirol / Roland R-44  4 Channel portable Recorder $900

HEADPHONES

My Favorite headphones are low-key, lightweight ear buds, they protect your ears and isolate noise.  I use a lanyard and wrap the headphones around it to hold them safely when walking away from camera the headphones stay with me attached to lanyard.

Etymotic Research ER-4S and ER-4P (portable) - Noise-Attenuating Portable Stereo Earphones $170

  ER-4S are my favorite, better quality, thicker wires and therefore easier to untangle and use.

Etymotic Research ER-6P - Noise-Isolating Portable Travel Stereo Earphones $80

Also good but big and bulky are: 

  Bose Noice Canceling $300

  Sony MDR-NC6 - Noise-Canceling Stereo Headphones $32. not as good as others but cheaper.

 

TAPE

Use quality tape or media cards. Be consistent, do not change brands. If you must, clean heads between changing.

 

BATTERIES

Batteries, camera, light, microphones, recorders, etc. Energizer and AA, AAA, 9 volt. For recycling 9 volts, use iPower FC-9V44 Fast Smart 9V charger and batteries. But do not leave them on chargers. Good for wireless mics.
